Rocky River Chamber of Commerce

100th Anniversary Celebration

For this commission, I was tasked with creating a logo for the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce to help celebrate their 100th Anniversary. In terms of initial direction, I was told their party would be Great Gatsby themed, and to create an invitation that mimicked that art deco style.

Depicted below are quick concepts based on my initial drawn drafts. I used these as a baseline for the visual direction the Chamber of Commerce envisioned.

Upon the first round of redrafts, the Chamber committee wanted a logo that mimicked their current logo. The party pamphlets are to be art deco themed - keep the logo modern. Working remotely, I was able to collaborate with the Executive Director who provided departmental and committee feedback.

After several iterations, I created the above logo. The committee was happy to keep a cohesive look that allowed them to swap my logo out with the current logo and still be recognizable through the 2022 year.
